Review
When you pop in the DVD, it is a really elegant screen with a kind of creepy background muic. The elegancy and background music was excellent, however, I was not immediately familiar with what the menu says. "Progression" is to play the DVD, "skew" is to adjust the sound, "ratios" for theme openings and closings, and "exponents" for extras. Most people are not familiar with the series or have not seen it will not know what is it about. Also, it is not relevant in the least sense to the content on the DVD so that was definitely a flaw.

The animation of this story is excellent, with all the backgrounds in detail and great proportion. The characters are really well drawn with a constancy in the designs of the cels, unlike other shows, such as Dragon Ball Z. However, there is not enough motion in the animation because most of the scenes have the characters in one motion for several seconds. The details in some of the animations and objects, however, are dazzling such as the flower, the character's hair, and a lot of the other objects.

One really nice thing about this DVD is that the characters in it are really well built, to the degree that each of them are unique individuals with a distinguished attitude and mentality of their own. For example, Rio is a confused girl that at first wanted to kill Ayumu. Ayumu, on the other hand, is the type of person that oversees everything and can predict most of the things that will occur. Eyes Rutherford is a very peculiar character who is a protagonist but is not "good" to the sense that he is the hero of the story and he has that mysterious aura that you feel when you see him in the DVD. The flower is also really important and is symbolism for a deeper meaning in the story, however, I was not able to see that greater meaning yet, so perhaps the meaning will unviel in the later DVDs of this series.

This is a pretty good series with a good plot and storyline but the slowness of everything the slow pace it moves at bothers me somewhat.
