DBGT Lost Episodes - Activation
Luud has awakened! After being fed his faithful followers, the monstrosity slowly comes out of his slumber with one goal in mind... crush Goku and Trunks! As if things couldn’t get any worse, Dr. Myuu feeds Pan to Luud, giving the idol enough strength to be more than the Saiyans can handle alone! Undaunted by her new surroundings, Pan organizes a revolt within the belly of the beast with a few unexpected allies. Only a precise strike from both inside and outside Luud will succeed in toppling the monster than gains in strength with each passing moment.

Goku and Trunks have defeated Cardinal Mutchy Mutchy, and now stand before the awakening Luud. When Dolltaki refuses to give up Pan to the ever-growing monster, Dr. Myuu feeds both Pan and Dolltaki to Luud! This sacrifice brings the machine-mutant so close to full operating power that Goku and Trunks alone will be no match for it!

Determined not to just sit around inside the Luud monster, Pan and the Para Para Brothers force Dolltaki to reveal the secret to escaping their mechanical prison. Meanwhile, Goku does his best to fend off the ever growing monster. There just might be a way to free the imprisoned innocents, but is there enough time?

Trunks and Goku consider returning to Earth so that Pan can be placed out of harms way and Goten can continue the journey as originally planned. But Giru discovers a dragon ball and leads the group to a desert planet where they must ward off menacing monsters and scour the vast sand dunes for the hidden dragon ball. Will they succeed, or will they become nothing but scattered feed for giant centipedes?

Review
Dragon Ball GT's "Lost Episodes" was a concept created by FUNimation. Originally, these "lost episodes" were part of the beginning, right after the first episode and before everything else. However, my guess is that FUNimation wanted the first episodes to be a big blast so they cut out the lost episodes out. Then after it was all done, they released the cut out episodes and labeled them the Lost Episodes.

"Activation" is one of the volumes of the Lost Episodes. This, in my opinion, would be one of the more exciting volumes because of the presence of Luud and the foreshadowing caused by Dr. Myuu and General Rildo. Personally, I do not enjoy the Lost Episodes as much as the other sagas because it lacks a sense of Super Saiyan power. The battles that they fight are not as earth shattering nor does it give a huge sense of adrenaline, so that\'s one of the huge bad sides about these Lost Episodes. Another thing that seemed to bother me is that the villains looked kind of ridiculus, such as Dolltaki and Luud. For one thing, Dolltaki looks like a pathetic half man, half little girl. And Ludd looks like nothing more than a giant baby\'s toy, even when it is at it\'s ultimate form.

The plus side about this DVD though is that it has a lot of trailers to give you an idea of what you should buy next if you enjoyed the DVD. Also, like most other DVDs released by FUNimation, it includes character profiles, and textless songs. Also, it has Japanese and English along with subtitles. Overall, this DVD is pretty good but it is not great in a sense that I enjoyed the other sagas more than the Lost Episodes. However, among the Lost Episodes, this is definitely the DVD volume that stands out.

Comments:
Personally speaking, the DVD was alright but I thought the cover art for the DBGT Lost Episodes are really nice, particularly this one. However, they don't have an individual episode summary on the back nor inside so thats a check on the minus side.
